In the main surgery of its kind in India, a mother has effectively given her uterus to her 21-year-old little girl..
The 43 year old mother offered to experience the technique so that her little girl, who was conceived without an uterus, can encounter labor.
The surgery, which was performed by a group of specialists at Pune’s Galaxy Care Hospital in the city of Pune in south-west India, occurred yesterday, driven by the healing center’s medicinal chief, Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar.
It gone on for nine and a half hours altogether and both mother and little girl are fine and in recuperation.
The 21-year-old should sit tight for one year to give her body enough time to mend and conform to the new uterus before she considers attempting to get pregnant through in-vitro treatment (IVF). She is as of now under perception and will be kept in Intensive Care Unit for some days
Dr Shailesh Puntambekar said;
“The patient was conceived without an uterus and she needed to have her own particular child and was not prepared for reception or surrogacy.
Since they thought about the uterus transplant, they moved toward us and acknowledged the surgery choice,”
“Luckily, her mom was observed to be a restoratively appropriate uterus contributor for her.”
“The technique is troublesome on the grounds that different huge conduits are to be joined there, and veins that are little and short. It is actually exceptionally extreme.”
